Finishing this upcoming feature documentary took every bit of grit and passion as the mountains we climbed to make it. Directors Renan Ozturk and Freddie Wilkinson documented their groundbreaking 2011 first ascent of an iconic skyline in the Moose’s Tooth massif in Alaska.
The climb was inspired by a photograph of the jagged ridgeline taken over fifty years before by the legendary explorer and scientist Brad Washburn, whose life and legacy is woven into the storyline. Brad was a global pioneer of aerial mountain photography who pushed himself and his equipment to the absolute limits. Like climbing and art, making long-form documentaries can be destructive, terrifying, and healing in unexpected ways.
Here’s an exclusive sneak peak for you to check out before the film drops later this year!
